Why are being called with different names in each state

Hi gormati,
It is so because we are a tribe dispersed not just across different states but different countries. Hence we are identified as Romas in rest of the world. As we dispersed several centuries ago our people picked up different vocations in different places. Those days names were based on occupations. Between Andra (Lambada and Sugali) and Karnataka (normally Lambani in south Karnataka and Banjara in north Karnataka) either we would have called ourselves like that or others Koars may have named us.
