Banjara neadle work training for tribal SHG members
DWACRA (Self Help Groups) scheme was introduced by the State Government for the benefit of the rural women to encourge the group activity. The main objective of the scheme is to involve the productive female work groups of the rural areas in to some production activity. Keeping this in view the District Rural Development Agency authorities approached the JSS to conduct special skill training programmes for DWACRA groups and to guid them with the probable projects to take up rural livelihoods.
The JSS has organized Agarbathi making, Pickle making, Leaf plates making, Preparation of Bakery items, Candle making, Detergent powder making, Rasam, Sambaroo powders making, Preparation of Jam, Juice & Jellies, Liquid Blue & Soap oil making, etc., skill training programmes under the sponsorship of District Rural Development Agency, Krishna. Now many groups are in a position to earn their livelihoods by using these income generation skills.
