People’s welfare: Animal Husbandry Minister Revu Naik Belamagi at the Janaspandana programme in Kamalapur on Saturday.
Gulbarga: State Government will convert 500 Tandas of the Banjara community will be converted into revenue villages immediately. Animal Husbandry Minister Revu Naik Belamagi made this announcement on Saturday after inaugurating the hobli level Janaspandana programme at Kamalapur, 30 km from here.
Mr. Belamagi said funds for conversion of these Tandas to revenue villages have been made in the State budget.
Provision has been made in the budget for construction of Seva Lal Bhavans in 200 Tandas in the State. Funds have been allocated for the construction of the Banjara Bhavans in 10 district headquarters during 2009-10, the Minister said.
According to him, Janaspandana programme is a boon for the common man who could not go to government departments.In the Janaspandana held in Gulbarga on February 7, as many as 54,466 applications were received; 33,043 applications were disposed of.
The Minister released a brochure called “Janaspandana-Janara Balige Sarkara”.
